Meme

Apparently there’s a new “phenomenom” in the blogging realm. It’s called a “MeMe.”

The Meme Rules:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Random Fact One:  Growing up my older sister, Kristin, and I used to act out all our favorite TV shows for fun.  Here’s the catch, Kristin always got to be the pretty one because she was older and she told me what to do.  So, when we played “LaVerne and Shirley” I was LaVerne.  When we played “Annie”  I was actually Annie (or Daddy Warbucks) because Miss. Grace was the pretty one.  When we played “Nadia” (a gymnastics movie) I got to be the star, Nadia, because her competitor, Teodora, was MUCH prettier.  I also always had to be the Dad when we played mom and dad.  When we were old enough to start playing with our neighbor friends, the tradition contniued.  She was Wonder Woman when we played superheroes and Daisy when we played Dukes of Hazard.  I can’t even remember who I was anymore, probably Robin and Boss Hog!  Sad, huh?  Even sadder… I never thought it was sad at the time.  It was just the way it was!

Random Fact Two:  My younger sister and I only call each other “Sis.”  It’s a little annoying, I know, but I just can’t stop.  It only started a few years ago, but I really can’t remember the last time I called her Bridget, unless I’m talking about her to someone else.

Random Fact Three:  Stef and I were best friends throughout jr. high and high school and the one time we decided to be really rebellious was a night that her and Jimmy broke up and we decided to smoke a cigarette!  (I know, CRAZY, right?)  We went down to the 7-11 and there was this homeless looking man in a wheel chair right in front of the cigarettes and he said in a really deep creepy voice, “Go around me!”  (You had to be there.)  Anyway, we each smoked one cigarette in my garage.  Actually, I didn’t inhale!  Haha!

Random Fact Four:  I just realized that I like to make clubs out of my closest friends.  When I was in 7th grade, we were the “Shiney Happy People” club… didn’t last too long.  Then in jr. high and high school Stef, Mindi, and I were the “Triangle Sisters.”  And now (I know, pathetic becuase I’m almost 30!) Alisha, Maite, Nicci, and I are the “Blue Hair Specials.”  (We would meet for dinner at 4:30 because Nicci was pregnant and HAD to eat.  So, we would eat with all the senoir citizens (the blue hairs)!

Random Fact Five:  Geric and I only dated for 5 month before we were engaged.  Then we were only engaged for 5 months before we were married.  Then we were married for 6 months when we bought our condo.  We had been living there for 6 months when we found out we were pregnant with Caden.  9 months after Caden was born we moved to our house in Riverside and 2 months later we found out we were pregnant with Jacob.  What can I say… we get bored easily?  Don’t worry, we’ve already decided that this was going to be the “Year of Nothing.”  No big changes for us!

Random Fact Six:  Unlike Stef, I absolutely HATE feet.  One of my worst memories is having to wash Ryan Lane’s feet in Mexico during a foot washing thing, you know like Jesus did.  Anyway, all meaning was lost for me because I was so traumatized by his pasty white feet.  (Sorry Ryan, it could’ve been anyone… it just happened to be you.)

Random Fact Seven:  I have a really bad habit of picking my eyebrows.  I’ve done it since I was young.  I don;t know why I do it and I’ve really tried to stop (mostly because it drives my mom crazy) but I just can’t!

Random Fact Eight:  Apparently epidurals don’t work very well on me.  With Caden, I felt pain for three hours before he was born and ended up with a spinal headache that lasted almost a week!  With Jacob, only the left side of me was numb… very strange!  Thank God he came out so fast!  So, with number three (a long, long time for now) I’m not even messing around with an epidural.  I’ll let you know how that goes!

Okay now I’m supposed to “tag” eight people.  I don’t know if I know that many bloggers that haven’t been tagged.  Here’s the only people left that I know have blogs and that I don’t think have been tagged yet:

1.  Nicci… I know you probably won’t do this, but come on!  It’s fun!  Good old fashioned fun!

2.  Alyssa… maybe you should blog more than once a year!  Sheesh!

3.  Kim… now that you’re back in the blogging world…

4.  Brianna… same with you!

5.  Erin Graham…. I know you just posted all those random facts about yourself, but maybe you can think of 8 more!  🙂

6.  Gina… you’ll have to post it on your myspace blog, but I’m really looking forward to reading yours!

7.  Amber … same with you!

8.  Alisha… maybe you can find time to do this between planning a wedding, moving, taking care of Zack, and being pregnant!  Haha!
