Last week we got a visit from my sister and brother-in-law and their cutie pie girls that we love, love, love! It was so much fun to be able to hang out together and watch our kids play. We went to the park, hung out at the grandparents, and even ventured out to the beach… which I would call a successful trip with five kids under five. 🙂 Here’s some pics from our last day, when I actually remembered to take my camera.
Abby Roo, eyes of blue!
Look at that Emma girl standing so big! Apparently she walks, but she’s shy about it.
Abby loves her Momma!
A cute shot of the DeVincenzo boys.
A semi-decent photo of all five together. Key word: together.
The getaway… I love Jacob’s face in this one!
Abby and Elijah were chattin’ it up.
Emma and Daddy.
Elijah and Auntie B. Look at how chubby Elijah is! He’s only 2 pounds bigger than Lil’ Em!
Emma and Auntie B.
We miss you already, ladies! Hopefully we see you again real soon!
It’s crazy, right? It totally DOES NOT feel like a year ago that all this happened! But it did! And they are now a year old!!!
We drove up to Oakland last weekend to help celebrate Abby and Emma’s 1st birthday. And they were just so darn cute… along with the decorations that my party planning Sis put up! 🙂 Here’s some pics. (When I say “some” I really mean a buttload, k?)
First, the adorable decor!
The girls made their grand entrance after they woke up from their nap, and were greeted by the paprazzi! (Poor Emma was getting over a cold!)
Then Emma said hi to Maw! (This is to make up for the lack of Maw pictures on Elijah’s birthday!)
Next came the cake! They were so stinkin’ cute!
“This looks delicious… just delicious!”
“I can’t believe they are letting us eat sugar, Emma!!!”
“Ewwww, but it’s such a mess!”
“Come on Abby. Get over it. Just shove some of it up your nose like me.”
And some hats.
Finally it’s present opening time!
And, just so my boys don’t feel left out… they spent their time in the backyard finding swords and slaying dragons. (Oh, and stepping in dog poop.)
A beautiful sunset to end the day!
Abby and Emma came down to spend Christmas with us (with their mom and dad too… they’re too young to travel alone.) And I know that spitting is not a good habit, but come on, you gotta love this face!!!
I know you have been dying to know what the added bonus was on the ride home… It was a stop in Oakland to see my baby girls! Have I ever mentioned how much it sucks being an Auntie that lives 300 miles away. Because it does. Maybe someone should consider moving closer to their family. Maybe?
Just in case you’ve been missing their cutie little faces since my Halloween post, here’s a refresher.
Abby-Roo was all smiles!
I only have one good one of Emma-Lou, because we got a new camera and we were messing with it and most of them came out blurry. Boo. But she’s still so freakin’ cute! I mean, who doesn’t want to bite those cheeks!!!
